Opening Times and Fees

We are open Monday-Friday during term-time (39 weeks) when Free Early Education is available for eligible 2, 3 & 4 year olds.

Our opening hours are:

Monday to Friday: 8.45am-3.45pm

If your child is at pre-school for lunch, they will need a packed lunch which we will keep in the fridge. We encourage healthy eating and ask parents to provide packed lunches that contain healthy options such as sandwiches, fruit and dairy products (eg cheese, yoghurts etc). We discourage lots of treats/sugary drinks. We do not permit nuts or nut based products in lunchboxes for safeguarding purposes.

The Pre-School provides a snack around 10.30am, when a variety of fruit, cheese and breadsticks are offered to the children with milk and/or water (as preferred by your child). We also stop for a drink break around 2pm. Fresh water is also available at all times – we have personalised drink bottles, which we ask your children to bring each day. If your child has any food allergies, please advise our staff so that we can ensure your child is kept safe.

This is known as ‘approved childcare’.

  • additional activities, such as trips

Ask your provider what extra costs you will have to pay for.

Contact your childcare provider or local council to find out more.

Parents can register their child for this if they meet certain criteria, for example if they are in receipt of certain benefits.  If children are entitled to be registered for this it means that Swallow Risers Pre-School will receive additional funding to be spent on that child.  For more information please speak to staff.
