Communication & Staffing

The Preschool operates a key person system. This means that each staff member has a group of children for which they have particular responsibility. The key person works with parents to ensure each child gets the provision they expect for their child.  When your child starts at the pre-school, the key person will be responsible for helping settle your child into the setting and will remain as the key person throughout their time with us.

Each child has their own ‘Learning Story’ as well as a record of development, this is logged on the Tapestry System and communicated to parents through the online journal.  

SETTLING IN 

We acknowledge that you as a parent/carer know your child best and we will work with you to support your child in the settling in process. You may wish to stay for a number of sessions until you feel confident that your child is ready to be left. We work in partnership with you and be assured that we will always contact you if your child is unduly distressed.
